Leaf Peeping Posts

Blueberries on the bush with goldenrod

Blueberry picking in late August at Brad and Jen’s, in Buxton Maine.

Leaf peeping the first week of September seems to be limited to some of the Aspens in Colorado starting to turn golden, and the pictures from last year that will tide us over the next couple weeks until the autumn foliage nearby starts to turn.

Here are some of the interesting posts this week:

Fall Foliage Prediction Map from SmokeyMountains.com. This is really a great map that let’s you select the week to see where peak foliage is in the US.

Reader’s Digest White Mountains Tour – if you’ve never been to New Hampshire’s White Mountains, treat yourself this fall. North Conway has outlet shopping and some great restaurants and you’ll find a quieter pace in towns like Jackson and Lincolnville. And be sure to drive the Kancamangus Highway if you have a chance–it will be spectacular!
